Leading Designers and Design Engineers often make EPS XTRA their first choice because of the wide options available.
Simplipac provides 4 types of material. Each material comes in different forms and grades, each one designed to satisfy a unique need. These materials can be moulded in a different density from very soft to quite solid, to suit your particular application. Additives, such as colours, or anti-static processing, give your designer so many options.
EPS (or expanded polystyrene) is the most common and least expensive of these materials, allowing very thin sections to be moulded and very tight tolerances in the finished product. |
Mouldable Polyethylene Copolymer. This is a tough blend of Polyethylene and Polystyrene that provides additional tear and abrasion resistance. Due to the nature of the material thin sections are difficult to achieve, and dimensional tolerances are wider than for EPS. |
Interpolymer Copolymer. This is a blend of Polyphenylene ether and polystyrene that has a higher dimensional stability than EPS. It is ideal for applications where the end product is going to be subject to abnormally high temperatures. |
EPP (or expanded polypropylene) is a very robust material suitable for applications that require protection in multiple incidents (multiple "Drop" environments). Due to the nature of the material thin sections are difficult to achieve, and dimensional tolerances are wider than for EPS. |
Pre-production samples, or samples of the material to be used, can be provided where appropriate. |
Assessing your need and helping your Designer to turn your ideas into reality with the most cost-effective and best long-term solution is our goal.
